The Punjab Food Authority is the provincial regulator for food safety in Punjab, set up under the Punjab Food Authority Act, 2011. It regulates and monitors food businesses, sets food standards and labelling rules, and enforces hygiene and quality through food safety officers and testing labs. It operates from its Lahore head office and district offices across Punjab.
