Pakistan Mortgage Refinance Company (PMRC) was set up by the State Bank of Pakistan as a mortgage liquidity facility. It gives banks and other mortgage lenders long-term funding so they can offer more fixed-rate, longer-term housing loans. It funds both conventional and Islamic lenders and helps develop the local capital market.
