House Building Finance Company is Pakistan's oldest specialized housing finance institution, set up in 1952 with Government of Pakistan sponsorship. It became an unlisted public limited company in 2007 and is owned by the State Bank of Pakistan (about 90%) and the Ministry of Finance. It provides loans for building and buying homes across Pakistan.
