Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KS&EW) is Pakistan's only shipyard and a large industrial engineering complex, established in 1956. It works under the Ministry of Defence Production as an autonomous body, with a board chaired by the Chief of Naval Staff. Its work covers shipbuilding, submarine construction, ship repair and heavy engineering.
