Agro Quality Assurance Manager

The Role

PepsiCo Pakistan is hiring an Agro Quality Assurance Manager in Lahore to lead the agro quality assurance agenda and manage compliance with PepsiCo agricultural standards in the procurement, handling, transportation and storage of agri raw materials such as potato and corn.

•Plan, coordinate and monitor agro QA operations with focus on quality of agro commodities, food safety and compliance with PepsiCo agricultural standards •Partner with the Agro regional and Storage & Logistics Manager to forecast field and storage conditions through to harvest •Lead potato crop quality monitoring through YSI testing and advise the field team on harvesting decisions •Manage the seasonal agro quality program, including onboarding and training Agro Interns and running the testing plan •Manage quality/ productivity improvement projects through the Six Sigma approach •Manage storage standards for potato and corn and ensure compliance through audits •Coordinate with Agro and R&D on development and trial studies of new potato and corn varieties •Manage periodic potato and corn quality health audits in storages and sampling/ testing through in-house or third-party laboratories •Lead the QA agenda in expanding the agro footprint to new geographies •Ensure compliance with Global Control Standards (GCS) •Monitor and validate CIPC and Huwa San application in cold stores •Verify and optimize potato handling practices using IRD and Hot Box •Ensure statistical analysis of field and storage quality using Minitab and Power BI •Ensure quality and food safety audits of PCI and third-party cold stores •Deploy Global GAP and Primary Farm Assurance (PFA) compliance standards across contracted growers
