The Role

Frontier Works Organization (FWO) is hiring 2 Junior Drilling Geologists for mineral exploration and drilling work in Balochistan (posted 11 October 2026).

•Supervise day-to-day diamond core drilling and geological activities at exploration drill sites •Monitor drilling progress, borehole depth, drilling conditions, core recovery, RQD and geological changes •Conduct systematic geological logging of drill core •Accurately record core recovery and RQD and maintain standardized geological codes •Identify and document base-metal mineralization •Characterize hydrothermal alteration assemblages •Supervise geological sampling, core cutting, sample preparation, labeling, bagging and dispatch •Review assay and analytical results and correlate them with geological observations •Conduct or supervise core orientation and structural measurements •Coordinate and review downhole deviation surveys •Utilize pXRF and other field analytical tools for preliminary geological and geochemical assessment where applicable •Maintain accurate drill-hole geological databases, logs, sample registers and assay records •Assist in drill-hole planning, collar selection, azimuth/ dip determination and target evaluation •Provide geological recommendations for infill, extension and follow-up drilling •Prepare daily, weekly and monthly drilling/ geological reports •Prepare geological logs, sections, mineralized-zone summaries and drilling progress reports •Coordinate with drilling contractors, exploration geologists, surveyors, drilling engineers and field technicians •Monitor and report drilling problems such as core loss, fluid loss, hole collapse, fractured/ sheared ground, difficult formations and stuck rods •Ensure geological activities comply with company HSE, QA/ QC and exploration procedures •Supervise junior geologists, geological technicians and core-logging personnel when required
