The Role

The Aga Khan University's Centre of Excellence in Women and Child Health is hiring a Manager (Research) for overall coordination of research projects, from field implementation to data analysis and reporting. This is a grant-funded contractual position.

•Implement and supervise research projects and develop instruments for data collection and monitoring •Develop SOPs for project and administrative processes to standardize practices at all field sites •Hire and train physicians and research staff as per project requirements •Liaise with community leaders and project staff to ensure smooth project activities •Develop proposals for submission to granting agencies within agreed timelines •Facilitate Co/ PI in finalizing grant proposals •Draft and submit manuscripts to reputed international journals •Contribute to peer-reviewed publications, present at conferences and participate in academic discussions •Work with administrative staff to ensure discipline, sufficient supplies and optimal staffing at field sites •Observe, troubleshoot and report problems with solutions to higher management •Prepare and compile study progress reports and monthly project reports •Present study results as required •Provide mentorship and training to research staff •Engage in professional development opportunities
