The Role
Mercy Corps is hiring a female TB Screener for Shujaabad, Multan, to verbally screen people visiting the OPDs of the designated hospital and detect TB patients as per the guidelines. The position reports to the Regional Coordinator.
•Verbally screen all people attending OPDs of the designated hospital using the screening tool •Ensure identified presumptive TB cases reach the designated doctor for diagnosis and treatment •Ensure presumptive cases provide sputum samples for lab testing •Coordinate with the district field supervisor, sputum transportation rider and GeneXpert Testing In-charge to transport samples •Document sputum test results in the recording register •Coordinate with the PMDT site for registration of rifampicin-resistant patients •Prepare a monthly record of screened, presumptive and registered TB cases and report it to the Regional Coordinator •Support field visits from national, provincial and district-level stakeholders

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (14 Years): Social Sciences
1-2 years of relevant work experience with community-based programs Preferred: One year with TB DOTS awareness programs
MS Word, Microsoft Excel, Communication
- English (Speaking: Native/ Fluent, Reading: Native/ Fluent, Writing: Native/ Fluent)
- Urdu (Speaking: Native/ Fluent, Reading: Native/ Fluent, Writing: Native/ Fluent)
- Punjabi (Speaking: Native/ Fluent, Reading: Native/ Fluent, Writing: Native/ Fluent)
