The Role
Unilever Pakistan requires a Procurement Partner for Home Care in Karachi on a contractual basis, reporting to the Local Procurement Partner (CAPEX, MRO), to support efficient sourcing activities including third-party manufacturing partners.
•Identify and assess third-party manufacturing partners on safety, quality, capacity, capability and cost-effectiveness •Conduct due diligence to ensure suppliers meet quality and regulatory standards, and evaluate supplier performance •Negotiate pricing, terms and agreements with third-party manufacturers •Draft and manage contracts in line with legal and regulatory requirements •Develop and maintain strong relationships with external manufacturing partners and address quality, delivery or service issues •Collaborate with production, logistics, quality assurance and regulatory affairs teams for smooth production and delivery •Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess •Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies •Collect and analyse supplier performance and cost data and prepare regular reports •Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency and reduce costs in the third-party manufacturing supply chain
Education, Experience and Skills Requirements
- Bachelor 16 Years: Engineering
Proven experience in procurement, low value sourcing, supply chain management or vendor management Preferred: Experience in a manufacturing or consumer goods environment
Negotiation, Communication, Interpersonal Skills, Supply Chain Management, Vendor Management, Data Analysis, Problem Solving, Attention to Detail
•Contractual position •Knowledge of safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance and manufacturing processes •Willingness to travel for supplier visits, audits and meetings
