The Role
Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital is hiring an Optometrist for its Nationwide Outreach Camp programme, based in Rawalpindi, to perform eye examinations, refraction and diagnostics during outreach camps.
•Perform comprehensive eye examinations, refraction (simple & cycloplegic), low vision assessments and diagnose ocular conditions during outreach camps •Prescribe and fit eyeglasses, contact lenses and vision aids; administer vision therapy and Orthoptics for strabismus and amblyopia •Conduct and advise on diagnostic tests (A/ B-Scan, OCT, FFA, Perimetry, Corneal Topography) and provide pre-/ post-operative support for eye surgery patients •Counsel patients on optical hygiene, surgical pathways, contact lens care and refer complex cases to ophthalmology specialists •Maintain optical instruments, adhere to infection control standards and document accurate, confidential patient medical records

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (16 Years): Optometry and Orthoptics, Vision Sciences
•1- 2 years of clinical/ field experience
Communication, Patient Counseling, Diagnostic Equipment Handling, Infection Control, Basic Computer Skills
