The Role
Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital is hiring a Community Health Worker for its Nationwide Outreach Camp programme, based in Rawalpindi, to counsel and follow up cataract patients.
•Deliver structured, empathetic counselling on cataract surgery pathways and follow-up care •Identify transport, financial or personal barriers (especially for female/ underserved patients) and coordinate support •Maintain patient tracking registers, send appointment reminders and record post-op attendance •Document consent readiness, deferrals and follow-ups while ensuring patient confidentiality
Education, Experience and Skills Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (16 Years): Allied Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Relevant Field
Preferred: •Background in community outreach, patient counselling or social work
Empathetic Communication, Local Language Fluency, Digital Record Keeping
