The Role

National Bank of Pakistan is hiring General Banking Officers (OG-III/ OG-II) in the area of Aitemaad Islamic Banking, reporting to the Branch Operations Manager, with postings at Batkhela (District Malakand), Hyderabad, Islamabad, Karachi, Karak, Khanewal, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Sahiwal. Employment is on contractual basis for three years, renewable at the discretion of the management.

•To manage all operational affairs of the branch along with regulatory compliance, including KYC/ AML, ensuring efficient product processing and superior customer service •To ensure compliance of banking laws, regulations, banking instructions and SOPs including Shariah compliance in all jobs and tasks •To ensure seamless account openings within the stipulated TAT, checking of day-to-day transactions and consistent service delivery with minimum or zero processing errors •To perform, monitor and authorize all daily financial and non-financial transactions of the branch and arrange accurate and complete periodic reporting •To ensure branch and cash vaults are opened and closed on time following all required controls •To review and perform balancing of vaults, tokens, taxes, payables, receivables, fixed deposits, call deposits, remittance instruments and other GLs •To review all suspense, parking and clearing GL heads and inform the Branch Operations Manager of any discrepancy •To ensure seamless processing of inward and outward clearing and inter-branch transactions •To perform balancing of ATM-related GL heads and report any overage or shortage •To monitor dormant, inoperative and unclaimed accounts and serve customer notices as required •To manage customer queries/ complaints regarding operations •To maintain the highest standards of customer service and handle complaints within specified time •To manage and make provisions for all budgetary requirements, including incomes, expenses and accruals •To ensure all branch General Ledger heads are balanced and in order at all times •To ensure all internal and external audit requirements and observations are addressed •To maintain all files, registers and documentation related to daily operations •To ensure all processes are completed within specified turnaround time (TAT) •To perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor(s)
