The Role

Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital is hiring an Optometrist for its nationwide outreach camp based in Rawalpindi.

•Perform comprehensive eye examinations, refraction (simple and cycloplegic), low vision assessments and diagnose ocular conditions during outreach camps •Prescribe and fit eyeglasses, contact lenses and vision aids; administer vision therapy and orthoptics for strabismus and amblyopia •Conduct and advise on diagnostic tests (A/ B-Scan, OCT, FFA, Perimetry, Corneal Topography) and provide pre- and post-operative support for eye surgery patients •Counsel patients on optical hygiene, surgical pathways and contact lens care and refer complex cases to ophthalmology specialists •Maintain optical instruments, follow infection control standards and keep accurate, confidential patient records
