The Role

Faisalabad Serena Hotel invites applications for Assistant Financial Controller in its Finance department. The role controls, manages and supervises the entire accounts department as per organisational policies, legal and fiscal statutes and international accounting standards.

•Ensures that at all times the accounting department’s records present the fair financial position of the hotel •Consolidates departmental budgets to form hotel’s annual income, expense and cash flow budget •Controls all banking activity and checks monthly reconciliation of bank accounts •Maintains all required documents and manuals of the department •Controls all cash handling of the hotel •Controls the hotel bank account, cheques and verifies all payables vouchers •Supervises and controls all aspects of salary administration and issues salary payments •Confers with auditors whenever necessary and co-ordinates their activities •Analyses financial documents and prepares key figures •Conducts physical spot checks of inventory •Informs the controller about the expiring business contracts and co-ordinates with the concerned quarters for the renewal of the contracts •Ensures that all travel agent commissions are paid and are properly communicated to the concerned agents •Analysis of all F&B and related costs •Controls and verifies all revenue and expense reports •Reviews all financial documents prepared by the subordinates •Monitors and controls the income auditor’s work •Monitors and controls the food and beverage controller’s work •Supervises A/ Cs payable ledger •Supervises the credit manager for effective and timely recovery of credits •Manages and supervises the work of Cost Controller •Foreign currency management •Fixed Assets Register and Depreciation Policy •Manages key control procedures of the entire property •Other duties and tasks as assigned by the controller
