The Role

Provides analysis on direct costs, inventories, stores and spares and reserves for slow-moving/ obsolete stock to the SC Controller for timely reporting, supports the control agenda at the plant and automates processes for efficiency.

•Support process/ control owners during risk assessments to mitigate emerging risks and improve control effectiveness of I2C, Agro and FR processes •Close gaps identified by modifying processes and test scripts in a timely manner •Monitor all inventories (Agro and non-Agro) for ageing and report inventory KPIs monthly •Ensure accurate and timely execution of the costing run at month end •Ensure accurate and timely submission of HFM TB and schedules to the reporting team •Ensure completeness and accuracy of JVs and ME closing schedules related to the reporting and inventory team •Provide analytical support to the SC Controller with variance analysis and agreed KPIs monthly •Ensure standard cost of materials and finished goods is updated in SAP when required •Review the balance sheet including inventory, reserves and Agro schedules •Ensure timely and accurate reporting of scrap sales and reconciliation of customer ledgers •Support the SC Controller in sharing the finance dashboard with the SC Director and functional heads during the monthly Ops Review, explaining direct cost and MOH components and variances against LE and AOP •Compare COGS and MOH for both plants and the reasons for variances, and present YTD Capex spend against AOP and LE •Plan, set and manage team performance objectives through performance appraisal sessions and one-to-one sessions •Enhance cross-functional coordination with the plant team •Ensure timely submission of information to external auditors •Support the SC Controller in reward and recognition activities and in maintaining a healthy environment within the plant controls team •Build the team's business understanding and confidence by providing opportunities to present at senior forums •Train team members to identify and minimize routine and non-routine risks in their processes •Identify automation and efficiency opportunities
