The Role

Solution & Proposal Engineer at Maxwell Automation, Lahore, preparing technical solutions and commercial proposals for industrial automation and control system projects.

•Examine customer RFQs, technical specifications, tender documents, and project requirements to identify the complete scope of work •Develop technical solutions and system architectures based on customer applications and project requirements •Prepare technical descriptions, system configurations, equipment selections, and engineering deliverables •Evaluate existing control systems and recommend suitable upgrades, modifications, and replacement solutions •Develop technical compliance matrices and identify deviations from customer specifications •Prepare professional technical and commercial proposals in accordance with customer specifications and submission requirements •Develop project scope documents, technical write-ups, equipment lists, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and Bill of Materials (BOM) •Prepare project execution methodologies, preliminary schedules, Gantt charts, and resource plans •Compile supporting documents, including company profiles, project references, technical datasheets, OEM credentials, and compliance certificates •Ensure proposals are technically accurate, commercially competitive, and submitted within specified deadlines •Maintain proposal records, technical documents, costing sheets, and quotation archives •Prepare project cost estimates covering equipment, engineering, programming, installation, testing, commissioning, and other associated services •Evaluate vendor offers based on technical compliance, pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions •Identify potential cost variations and commercial risks before proposal submission •Coordinate with Sales, Projects, Procurement, and Engineering teams for technical and commercial inputs •Communicate with international and local manufacturers to identify appropriate products and technical solutions •Participate in customer site surveys and technical assessments whenever required •Develop and maintain standard technical proposal formats, costing templates, equipment databases, and engineering documentation •Maintain updated records of OEM products, technical specifications, supplier pricing, and industry developments
