The Role

Resident Engineer at Jam Chakro, Karachi, supervising construction, landfill and site activities for TÜMAŞ Pakistan.

•Review and coordinate daily construction activities to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, approved drawings and project specifications •Lead pre-construction meetings, conduct site inspections, evaluate existing site conditions, and prepare detailed meeting minutes and progress reports •Identify and report technical deficiencies, design inconsistencies and discrepancies in drawings or specifications, recommending appropriate corrective measures •Supervise and monitor contractors' performance against approved project schedules and recommend corrective actions or revised schedules where necessary •Manage construction inspection activities to ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements •Participate in substantial and final completion inspections, prepare punch lists, monitor their completion, and recommend project acceptance •Monitor and coordinate approvals, material submittals, shop drawings and Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring timely processing and reporting delays •Coordinate with contractors, consultants, clients and other project stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution •Review and verify Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs) against actual work completed, measured quantities and approved contractual requirements •Ensure all construction deliverables comply with quality standards, health and safety regulations, and project objectives
