The Role

National Dredging & Marine Services (Pvt) Ltd (NDMS) is seeking a Chief Executive Officer on a contractual basis (extendable), based in Karachi, to provide strategic leadership of the maritime and dredging enterprise. Advertised through National Logistics Corporation careers.

•Strategic leadership: vision and plans aligned with national and regional requirements, cost-effective and sustainable solutions, business acumen to enhance revenue •Operational oversight: fleet management and optimum utilization, project delivery meeting time, cost and scope, implementation of HSE standards •Financial governance: SOE compliance and transparency, balancing cost and revenue, investments to support regional expansion •Stakeholder management: liaison with government and port authorities and engagement with regional and international partners, contractors and suppliers •Organizational development: team building, high performance organizational framework and a culture of performance, accountability, safety and collaboration •Corporate governance: uphold OECD/ IFC governance standards, promote anti-corruption policies and whistleblower protections, disclose conflicts of interest and ensure Board independence

Required Education Level/ Field of Study

Masters: Maritime, Business, Project Management, Mechanical Engineering

Required Experience

3-5 years of C-level position experience in maritime/ corporate sector; proven track record of high value maritime projects in the public sector; thorough understanding of government procurement and contracting rules; in-depth knowledge of ship operations, maintenance and management; experience of working and representation at the highest government level Preferred: 15-20 years of experience in dredging/ hydrography/ maritime/ marine/ mechanical engineering projects; similar corporate-sector experience with relevance to maritime/ dredging is acceptable
