The Role

United Industries Limited (Kashmir Cooking Oil & Banaspati) is seeking a results-driven Deputy Manager Procurement to manage the end-to-end procurement of plant packaging, chemicals and R&D requirements, bridging technical development and commercial execution while ensuring cost efficiency, quality and innovation in packaging development.

•Category management: lead procurement strategies for chemicals, raw materials and specialized plant packaging materials •Packaging development and R&D: collaborate closely with R&D teams to identify new materials, conduct trials and source innovative packaging solutions •Sourcing and vendor management: identify, evaluate and onboard high-quality suppliers, negotiate long-term contracts and manage supplier performance audits •Cross-functional collaboration: work seamlessly with Production, Quality Assurance and Supply Chain departments to align procurement plans with manufacturing schedules •Cost optimization: implement cost-saving initiatives and value engineering projects without compromising quality or sustainability standards •Compliance and risk management: ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, environmental regulations and safety standards
