The Role
Assistant Manager (Artificial Intelligence & Data Science) at the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Islamabad, purely on contract basis on a lump sum package (equivalent to PPS-7) for an initial period of 24 months, extendable on requirement basis.
•Develop and test AI/ ML applications for disaster prediction, preparedness and response •Support development of an AI-enabled course instructor •Undertake multi-source data ingestion, processing and analytics •Develop and deploy LLM/ RAG applications for NDMA CoE knowledge and operational support •Develop dashboards and automated analytical workflows •Validate model performance and maintain technical documentation •Collaborate with NEOC subject matter specialists and hazard-domain experts •Support AI governance, data quality, responsible use and model monitoring •Undertake rapid technology prototypes for C2DM lab session requirements

•Posts will be filled on open merit basis •Selected candidates must serve a minimum of 18 months a

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements
- Bachelor 16 Years: Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, Computational Sciences
Preferred: Experience in AI/ ML, predictive analytics, NLP/ LLMs, computer vision, data engineering or decision-support applications; disaster/ climate/ geospatial applications
