The Role
Research Specialist in the Department of Community Health Sciences, Aga Khan University (grant funded contractual position), supporting district EPHS prioritisation, costing, monitoring and community engagement in Lasbela and Upper Dera Bugti, Balochistan.
•Support quantitative analysis for district EPHS prioritisation and costing, including population-in-need estimation, coverage analysis and ingredient-based costing •Clean, manage and analyse data from HISDU/ IMU, DHIS2, facility and HRH assessments using Stata, R, SPSS or advanced Excel •Support operationalisation of the LFA Matrix, tracking indicators, baselines and targets •Track input-gap closure, service-utilisation bottlenecks and corrective actions •Assist HSRU and HISDU/ IMU with Acasus in strengthening monitoring, verification and data-use processes •Develop dashboards and visual summaries of coverage, readiness and utilisation data •Support community engagement and social-accountability activities in Upper Dera Bugti •Coordinate day-to-day activities across AKU, the Department of Health and partners •Track deliverables and milestones and flag risks and delays to the PI/ Co-PI •Liaise with district health teams, PPHI and community stakeholders •Undertake field visits to Lasbela and Upper Dera Bugti •Prepare policy briefs, evidence summaries, technical notes, progress reports and presentations •Document lessons learned to inform provincial scale-up

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements
- Masters: Health Economics, Public Health, Health Policy & Management, Epidemiology, Statistics, Social Sciences
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in health systems research, monitoring and evaluation, or quantitative data analysis Preferred: Donor-funded or health-systems-strengthening projects; experience with provincial/ district health departments or UHC/ EPHS or health-financing projects
Stata, R, SPSS, Microsoft Excel
Preferred: Power BI, Tableau

•Willingness to travel extensively and regularly to Lasbela and Upper Dera Bugti, including remote and hard-to-reach areas
