The Role

Associate, Patient Experience & Risk Management at Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, handling patient complaints and adverse event management.

•Receive, document and manage patient complaints and feedback •Investigate and resolve patient concerns received verbally and in writing •Attend to walk-in complainants •Review medical records and prepare fact sheets on sentinel events and serious adverse incidents •Draft and communicate complaint response letters within timelines •Coordinate and participate in or lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) meetings •Analyse complaint trends and prepare reports for corrective and preventive actions •Collect, review, categorise and manage incidents reported through AEMS •Conduct investigations through chart reviews and follow up on action plans •Prepare and present weekly adverse event reports to hospital leadership •Educate staff, trainees and students on adverse event reporting and risk mitigation •Perform other duties assigned by the Senior Manager or Chief Medical Officer
