The Role
Deputy Manager (UN) at NDMA Islamabad, managing coordination with UN agencies and UN-supported disaster risk reduction and management initiatives. Contract post on lump-sum package (equivalent to PPS-8) for an initial 24 months.
•Manage coordination with UN agencies and support development, implementation and monitoring of UN-supported disaster risk reduction and management initiatives •Facilitate the use of AI-based tools and knowledge systems for tracking UN projects, commitments, technical assistance, outputs and disaster-management interventions •Support the development and maintenance of a UN Coordination Portal for centralized information on projects, activities, resources, technical assistance and focal persons •Develop and maintain a structured repository of UN guidelines, assessments, best practices, reports, datasets and technical resources •Identify capacity-building requirements and support development of AI-enabled learning modules, e-learning content and knowledge products •Ensure timely consolidation, analysis and visualization of UN-supported activities through digital dashboards and management information systems

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (16 Years): Development Studies, Disaster Risk Management, Earth Sciences
- MS / MPhil: Development Studies, Disaster Risk Management, Earth Sciences
BS with minimum 6 years or MS with minimum 4 years of relevant experience, with hands-on proficiency in GIS software and geospatial technologies and relevant experience with UN agencies, international humanitarian organizations or humanitarian partners, including spatial data analysis, mapping, visualization and GIS-based applications

•Posts are purely on contract basis for an initial period of 24 months (extendable), filled on open merit •Selected candidates must serve for a minimum period of 18 months
