The Role
PARCO is seeking a Shift Engineer (Utilities & ETP) for its Mid-Country Refinery, Muzaffargarh, to lead shift teams for the safe and efficient operation of utilities and effluent treatment facilities.
•Lead and supervise shift teams, including Field Operators and DCS Operators, for safe, reliable and efficient operation of Utilities and ETP facilities as per approved SOPs •Coordinate and manage plant start-ups, shutdowns, routine operations and emergency situations •Ensure safe isolation and handover of equipment for maintenance, and its inspection and safe recommissioning •Oversee daily operations and coordinate routine and preventive maintenance requirements •Monitor plant operating parameters and laboratory results, identify deviations and implement timely corrective actions •Coordinate with service departments, maintenance teams and Shift Engineers of other process units, including Oil Movement •Monitor equipment performance and operating conditions of all utility systems and ETP facilities •Ensure compliance with operational procedures, process safety requirements, environmental standards and housekeeping practices •Identify, investigate and resolve operational issues to minimize operational risks and downtime

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements
- Bachelor 16 Years: Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering
Up to 8 years of relevant experience in the petroleum refining, petrochemical or fertilizer industry; hands-on experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS); practical experience operating utility systems (instrument air, cooling towers, raw/ fire water, flare and fuel oil/ gas, DM water plants, boilers and condensate recovery) and Effluent Treatment Plants Preferred: DCS experience with Yokogawa CENTUM VP or Honeywell Experion PKS
DCS Operation, Utility Systems Operation, Effluent Treatment Plant, Permit to Work, SAP, MS Office
•Degree from a university recognized by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC)
