The Role
PARCO is seeking a Process Engineer- Technical Services at its Mid Country Refinery, Mahmood Kot, to monitor and optimize the performance of utilities, ETP, tankage and associated refinery units and equipment.
•Performance monitoring of the assigned units (Utilities-ETP, Tankage Area, Asphalt Air Blowing Unit, FGRS and TPF) with respect to material and energy balances, process efficiency and overall plant performance •Performance monitoring of equipment including compressors, turbines, cooling towers, heat exchangers, boilers, demineralization trays, tanks and pumps •Performance monitoring and optimization of chemical treatment programs for cooling water systems •Monitoring of fuel and energy consumption at Utilities and identification of opportunities for energy conservation and reduction in operating costs •Performance monitoring of heat exchanger trains and water coolers to evaluate thermal efficiency and recommend corrective measures •Evaluation, selection and optimization of the consumption of chemicals, demineralization resins, adsorbents, filtration media and other process consumables •Initiation of Management of Change (MOC) requests, technical studies, participation in HAZOP and SIL-LOPA studies, review of engineering design packages and post-implementation performance evaluations •Conduct technical studies related to process optimization, energy conservation, operational efficiency, debottlenecking and cost-effective process modifications •Provide day-to-day technical support to Operations, Maintenance, Inspection, Projects and other teams for troubleshooting process-related issues •Prepare technical reports, business cases, operating guidelines, process calculations, material and energy balance assessments and engineering recommendations •Conduct process troubleshooting, root cause analysis and technical investigations and recommend corrective and preventive actions •Ensure compliance with HSEQ requirements, Integrated Management System (IMS) procedures, environmental regulations and refinery operating standards •Support the development and mentoring of graduate and trainee engineers •Ensure the confidentiality and security of PARCO's proprietary and classified information

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements
- Bachelor 16 Years: Chemical Engineering
•Up to 8 years experience, of which at least 3 years in Operation and Technical Services in Petroleum/ Refinery/ Fertilizer or Petrochemical industry Preferred: •Experience of utilities and oil movement units •Experience of refinery units specifically Utilities, Effluent Treatment, Oil Decanting, Blending and Storage Units
Process Simulation, Hydraulics, Line Sizing, Pressure Drop Calculations, Efficiency Calculations, MS Office, Technical Report Writing
