The Role
Deputy Manager (Emerging Technologies & Innovation) at the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Islamabad, purely on contract basis on a lump sum package (equivalent to PPS-8) for an initial period of 24 months, extendable on requirement basis.
•Lead identification, evaluation and operational adoption of next-generation technologies for disaster management •Develop NGT technology roadmap and priority use cases •Coordinate AI/ ML, automation, IoT, robotics/ UAV, digital twin, advanced visualization and related technology initiatives •Translate NEOC/ NDMA operational requirements into technology solutions •Oversee prototypes, pilots, proof-of-concepts and technology demonstrations •Establish partnerships with universities, technology firms, startups and R&D organizations •Assess technology readiness, scalability, interoperability and operational utility •Coordinate integration of successful technologies with CoE and other NDMA wings •Prepare technical concepts and specifications for enhancing the C2DM course curriculum •Maintain awareness of global developments in disaster technologies

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements
- Bachelor 16 Years: Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Robotics, Geoinformatics
- Masters: Artificial Intelligence
4-6 years relevant post-qualification experience, including technology development/ deployment, AI/ data-driven solutions, R&D, technology integration or digital transformation Preferred: Disaster management, climate applications, government technology systems or decision-support environments; certifications in AI/ cloud/ data/ innovation management
