The Role
GL Control Officer (OG-II) in NBP's Financial Control area in Karachi, reporting to the Unit Head- GL Control Unit, monitoring GL balancing and validation issues.
•Collect data regarding GL balancing and validation for review •Enlist all non-balancing and non-validation GL issues •Compile underlying reasons for non-balancing of GLs •Maintain and update records of outstanding GL balancing and non-validation issues and follow up with stakeholders •Assist in identifying recurring GL balancing discrepancies and validation issues for corrective action •Prepare summarized reports of non-balancing and non-validation GLs for the Unit Head •Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual MIS reports for GL balancing •Perform any other assignment assigned by the supervisor(s)

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (14 Years): Any Discipline
Minimum 2 years of experience in Finance and/ or Accounts and/ or articleship, preferably with a financial institution and/ or audit firm Preferred: Hands-on experience in handling GL accounts
Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Power BI, Report Writing
ACCA qualified and/ or ICMA qualified and/ or CA part qualified
•Contractual employment for three years, renewable at the discretion of the Management
