The Role

Master Group of Industries is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (back-end) for its Cloud department in Lahore to design, develop and maintain back-end services with Node.js, Express and PostgreSQL, coordinate the development team and report progress to senior management.

•Develop, maintain and improve back-end applications and services using Node.js, Express and PostgreSQL •Write and optimize SQL queries, manage database changes and prepare and test migrations with documented rollback procedures •Design and integrate REST APIs and contribute to cloud-native and microservices solutions •Use Git for version control and follow code review, testing and release procedures •Support deployments and troubleshoot issues using Linux fundamentals, including systemd services and log analysis •Validate business requirements, test changes, resolve defects and monitor performance and efficiency •Coordinate the development team's work, track progress and risks and update senior management •Work with business teams to gather and analyze requirements, estimate timelines and coordinate delivery •Create and maintain clear code, API, deployment and product documentation •Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly, reviewing and testing all resulting code
