The Role

EY's Financial Accounting & Advisory Services (FAAS) team at Rapid Innovations, Karachi, is hiring for an IFRS Support/ Technical Accounting role focused on new accounting standards implementation, technical accounting advisory, transaction accounting support and IFRS training.

•Apply IFRS including IFRS 9, 15, 16, 10, 3, 13, 11, 5 and IAS 36, 16, 38, 28 as applicable •Prepare IFRS technical accounting memos and position papers •Develop, update and document accounting policies •Support complex accounting judgments, estimates and interpretations •Support business combinations (purchase price allocation, goodwill, NCI accounting), acquisitions, disposals, step acquisitions and group restructurings •Provide carve-out and closing balance sheet support and assess accounting impact of financing arrangements and capital restructurings •Develop and deliver IFRS training sessions and materials and provide ongoing IFRS knowledge support to engagement teams

4-8 years of relevant experience in Big-4/ reputable accounting or advisory firms or IFRS-focused roles within large corporates; hands-on IFRS advisory, technical accounting or complex accounting engagements Preferred: Experience in multiple sectors (real estate, utilities, financial services, energy); training facilitation or knowledge-sharing experience
