The Role

ITA is hiring a Literacy Instruction Associate (Urdu) in Karachi to lead development of a Grade 1 Urdu literacy instruction package with a Curriculum Development Committee.

•Lead and coordinate the development of a Grade 1 Urdu literacy instruction package, including student books and teacher guides •Facilitate the formation and management of a Curriculum Development Committee (CDC) of literacy and education experts •Assist the CDC in developing and adapting literacy materials and training modules to the Pakistani curriculum and multilingual context •Ensure timely development of student and teacher materials •Oversee review and adaptation of training and coaching tools for delivery at scale •Support development of student progress tracking and assessment tools •Serve as primary liaison between Room to Read, government education departments and other stakeholders •Monitor project progress against timelines and deliverables and lead documentation, reporting and donor updates •Assist with logistics for workshops, including venues and transportation •Contribute to sustainability planning and scaling strategies with government partners
