The Role

Memon Medical Institute Hospital, Karachi is hiring a Trainee Pharmacist for its Pharmacy department.

•Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, drug interactions and validity •Maintain prescription and medication records •Monitor medicine expiry and assist with stock counts and expiry audits •Assist Pharmacists in daily pharmacy operations and medication-related tasks •Provide drug information regarding availability, usage, interactions and adverse effects •Assist in maintaining adequate pharmaceutical supplies and replenishing pharmacy stock •Participate in continuing education and professional development •Ensure compliance with hospital SOPs, pharmacy guidelines, infection control and safety requirements •Perform other duties/ tasks assigned by the Head of Department

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements

Required Education Level/ Field of Study

Professional Bachelor: Pharmacy (Pharm-D)

Required Experience

•Fresh graduate or up to 3 months of relevant hospital pharmacy experience

Skills

Drug Information, Communication, Basic Computer Skills, Infection Control

Required Trainings

•Hospital Pharmacy training (preferred)

Any Other Requirements or Preferences

•Awareness of infection control and safe handling of medicines, including cytotoxic agents •Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
