The Role

EY is seeking an Indirect Tax Manager in Karachi to lead the delivery of VAT/ GST advisory engagements and manage large VAT implementation teams.

•Lead the delivery of Indirect Tax engagements with technical excellence •Manage large VAT implementation teams of client functional experts and consultant specialists •Identify market opportunities and lead development of the commercial proposition to new and existing clients •Build and maintain tax relationships with clients •Advise how VAT or GST impacts clients' supply chain and financial and accounting systems, and address areas of risk •Advise clients on the tax implications of international trade and assist them in complying with customs regulations •Develop associates and conduct trainings

Required Education Level/ Field of Study

Bachelor 16 Years: Economics, Finance, Taxation, Accounting

Required Experience

•At least 6 years of relevant experience as an Indirect Tax professional with VAT/ GST advisory experience Preferred: •Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm; candidates from law firms or with relevant industry experience will also be considered
