The Role

Aga Khan University Hospital is hiring a part-time Senior Medical Officer for the Satellite Emergency Department at Clifton Medical Services (CMS), its 24/7 outreach medical centre in Karachi.

•Perform patients' initial evaluation, investigation and management to maintain consistent clinical quality and service standards •Perform physical examination and monitor patients' progress vigilantly •Perform medical procedures under supervision and communicate patients' progress to the concerned Consultant and to the patient and/ or family •Assess patients and complete required paperwork as per hospital protocols •Participate in the management of patients under the supervision of consultants •Maintain documentation of clinical notes, progress notes and discharge summaries •Work toward enhancing competencies in a clinical setting under the supervision of consultants and other faculty •Do bedside teaching and training and participate in academic activities of the Emergency Department •Follow infection control practices in the workplace •Support the department in administrative activities
