The Role
The Department of Paediatrics within the Division of Women and Child Health at Aga Khan University is hiring a Senior Research Assistant to support field-based research, community engagement and data collection in Karachi under the guidance of the Principal Investigator. This is a contractual, close-ended position.
•Visit field sites locally in Karachi for project-related activities •Collect data and train junior staff in proper data collection •Ensure validity of collected data •Enter data into Excel or other software •Ensure proper collection of samples and specimens as per provided guidelines •Ensure proper storage and transport of samples to the laboratory •Conduct maternal and newborn anthropometric measurements •Conduct household visits as per project protocol •Coordinate regularly with project supervisors to discuss field-related activities •Provide appropriate counselling to study participants •Maintain all project data in an organised and confidential manner •Plan and conduct awareness sessions within the community if required •Perform any other task assigned by the supervisor

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (16 Years): Social Sciences
One to two years of relevant work experience
Communication, Teamwork, Report Writing, Data Collection, Computer Skills
