The Role
National Bank of Pakistan is hiring a Digital Banking Officer- BI ETL Development (OG-II/ OG-I) in the area of Digital Banking, based in Karachi, reporting to the Unit Head- ETL Development. Employment is on contractual basis for three years, renewable at the discretion of the management.
•To assist in the design, development, and maintenance of ETL processes to ensure accurate and efficient data integration across systems •To support the optimization and implementation of ETL pipelines using tools, like Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or Azure Data Factory to meet business and analytical needs •To collaborate with data engineering and database teams to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and availability across systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) •To participate in the migration and enhancement of existing ETL systems to modern or cloud-based architectures •To assist in database performance tuning, optimization, and query troubleshooting for ETL processes •To support the development and enforcement of data quality checks, validation rules, and monitoring processes for reliable data output •To contribute to the documentation and maintenance of ETL workflows, data mappings, and metadata for knowledge sharing •To assist in implementing ETL automation, scheduling, and monitoring mechanisms to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention •To perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor(s)

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (14 Years): Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, Engineering
- Masters: Computer Science
•Minimum 02 years of experience in Banking and/ or Financial Institution(s) and/ or Telecom and/ or Capital Markets and/ or Fintech and/ or Software House and/ or Consultancy Firm, out of which minimum 01 year of experience in ETL Development and/ or Data Engineering Preferred: •Candidates having experience in ETL design, development, and implementation, using tools, like Informatica and/ or Talend and/ or SSIS and/ or Azure Data Factory would be preferred
