The Role
National Bank of Pakistan is hiring a Digital Banking Officer- Infrastructure (OG-II/ OG-I) in the area of Digital Banking, based in Karachi, reporting to the Unit Head- Infrastructure. Employment is on contractual basis for three years, renewable at the discretion of the management.
•To monitor and maintain the health, performance, and availability of data warehouse infrastructure, big data platforms, and cloud data services •To perform routine infrastructure checks, maintenance, and basic database administration, including performance monitoring, index maintenance, and space management •To assist in capacity planning, resource optimization, and setting up monitoring alerts for proactive issue resolution •To support backup, recovery, and infrastructure upgrade/ patching operations per established procedures •To collaborate with senior infrastructure and BI teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues •To maintain comprehensive infrastructure documentation, including configurations, operational procedures, and system logs •To ensure compliance with security policies, data governance, and infrastructure standards •To support operational tasks for data engineering & BI teams and assist in automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort •To perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor(s)

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (14 Years): Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Engineering
- Masters: Computer Science
•Minimum 02 years of experience in Banking and/ or Financial Institution(s) and/ or Telecom and/ or Capital Markets and/ or Fintech and/ or Software House, out of which minimum 01 year of experience in IT Infrastructure Support and/ or Database Administration and/ or Cloud Platform Operations Preferred: •Candidate having experience in managing and monitoring data warehouses, big data platforms and cloud data services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) would be preferred
