The Role

Dr. Ziauddin Hospital is hiring a Staff Pharmacist at its Head Office (North Campus) to manage the pharmacy under the guidance of the Pharmacy Supervisor and supervise technical and supporting staff.

•Manage the pharmacy properly under the guidance and supervision of the Pharmacy Supervisor •Supervise the technical and supporting staff and help them in all respects •Check the quality of the sources of purchase of all medicines, chemicals, antibiotics, biological products and other pharmaceutical preparations under the supervision of the Supervisor/ Assistant Manager •Analyze prescribing trends and monitor patient compliance to prevent excessive usage or harmful interactions; maintain documentation and keep records •Restrict non-formulary drug usage in the hospital pharmacy •Keep controls over requests and dispensing of all medication •Ensure proper maintenance of records of narcotic medicines •Supervise assistants in maintaining the FEFO method, communicate with doctors for dose adjustment and assist the Pharmacy Supervisor in different tasks and routine issue solutions •Shift login (system), charging of medicine, cash counting, patient counseling and updating work sheets, registers, files and other documentation •Make presentations on assigned topics •Petty cash handover, register reading, conforming any query or pending work and taking verbal and written handover from the previous shift
