The Role
Strategic Communications Manager supporting TCF's external communications, media relations, thought leadership and communication governance, working closely with the General Manager Communications.
•Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, producers, columnists and media platforms •Develop and pitch story ideas and coordinate interviews, press briefings, media visits and announcements •Prepare press releases, media briefs, talking points and Q&A documents and maintain the media database •Develop communication plans for research launches, partnerships, institutional announcements, events and campaigns •Identify and develop stories, articles, case studies, scripts and profiles across TCF schools, alumni and partnerships •Draft opinion pieces, speeches, talking points and leadership posts for TCF leaders •Coordinate with PR, content, production, design and communication agencies on briefs, timelines and deliverables •Support development of communication protocols, approval processes, templates, editorial standards and crisis communication processes •Support content planning for TCF's website, social platforms and digital channels

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements
- Bachelor 16 Years: Journalism, Communication, Media Studies, Mass Communication, Social Sciences
•More than five years of experience in journalism, media relations, public relations, corporate communications or external communications •Experience writing stories, conducting interviews and developing media content •Experience pitching stories to journalists or securing media coverage •Experience coordinating with agencies, vendors or production partners Preferred: •Experience in education, development, public policy or the nonprofit sector
