The Role

Pakistan Tobacco Company is hiring a Senior Commercial Officer in Karachi to manage import and export operations and trade documentation.

•Lead end-to-end import and export operations to ensure timely material availability and uninterrupted business operations •Manage Letters of Credit (LCs) and coordinate with Treasury and banks for smooth import transactions •Maintain records of vendor accounts and LCs, and provide regular status updates •Handle bank, shipping and trade documentation while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements •Collaborate closely with clearance agents, Finance and Supply Chain teams to monitor shipment and clearance status •Analyse the impact of duties, taxes and other import-related costs on shipments •Liaise with suppliers, customs authorities and clearance agents to ensure timely documentation and smooth clearance of imports, exports and samples •Lead regular coordination meetings with Commercial, Treasury and key stakeholders while ensuring compliance with import laws and factory protocols
