The Role
Specialist, Purchase at Aga Khan University, Karachi (grant funded contractual position), handling procurement, vendor management and contracts.
•Conduct orientation sessions on relevant institutional and functional policies •Keep procurement activities aligned with organisational objectives, industry standards and applicable regulations •Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in procurement processes and practices •Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors and external partners •Identify, evaluate and onboard new vendors •Ensure compliance with procurement procedures prescribed by donor agencies •Negotiate AKDN-wide strategic agreements, preferred terms and group discounts •Maintain awareness of applicable local and international laws and regulations •Understand procurement requirements of accreditation bodies including JCIA and CAP •Develop and maintain a system for recording, monitoring and tracking contracts •Coach and develop team members

- Masters: Business Administration
- Bachelor 16 Years: Law
3-5 years of relevant experience in Purchasing and Contracts Management Preferred: Experience in a healthcare, hospital or research organisation
